From version 6.2.70 - ARCDSTAPI provides the facility to archive old records from the DSTAPI Database. If you wish to run this automatically you could add an entry to call this command to the Cobwebb Job Scheduler.

Note: This will delete old records but not free up space in the file. The RGZPPDQ command will reorganise all files in library CPPD with deleted records, or you can manually run the following command (with library CPPD in your library list) when the CPPD subsystem is not running:

Command Parameters

DAYS - No of days to retain

Specify a number of days. Entries, that match the requirements, older than this date will be archived.

CLRC - Clear Completed entries

If you enter a "Y" then entries with status "C" for Completed are selected.

CLRF - Clear Failed entries

If you enter a "Y" then entries with status "F" for Failed are selected.

CLRQ - Clear Queued entries

If you enter a "Y" then entries with status "Q" or " " for Queued are selected.
